Our workshops and classes are designed to develop the many different pottery skills found in a studio pottery workshop.

We offer wheel based tuition or hand building depending on your preference. All levels of skill are welcome, from absolute beginners to competent potters who may just wish to refine an already accomplished standard of work.

Pottery sessions and workshops are not ‘pottery party’ or ‘paint a pot’ days but are aimed at people who are looking for an opportunity to sample pottery in a more rewarding way.  We have no absolute age limit, but we recommend children should be over the age of twelve. In any event an adult must accompany young people below the age of sixteen.

Group Taster Sessions

If you are able to organize a group, we offer a two hour session designed to allow you to experience craft pottery with  a hands on introduction. During the session a variety of skills are demonstrated and you have the opportunity to try your own hand on the ‘potters wheel’.

These sessions are limited to a minimum of six people and a maximum of ten.

Times and dates can be arranged for your convenience.

Individual Sessions

We run morning and afternoon sessions of three hours each.  We are able to cater for absolute beginners and more advanced students alike. Our spacious and well equipped studio ensures plenty of opportunity for one to one tuition.  If you just want to try your hand throwing a pot. this is probably for you.

Mornings - 10am to 1pm

Afternoons - 2pm to 5pm

Days arranged according to availability.

Workshops

Our workshops are designed for a more intensive period of participation. They are organized as morning and afternoon sessions of three hours each. We cater for absolute beginners and more advanced students alike.  Over a period of time throwing, hand building, design, surface decoration, glazing, kiln packing and firing will be covered. The workshops are tailored to suit individual needs.
